The Type 4 Ho-Ro was a Japanese Artillery Piece used during the Philippines campaign and the Battle for Okinawa. It suffered from very low production numbers and most were destroyed by superior American artillery. It mounted a 150mm gun which could fire HE, APHE, and HEAT. This allowed it to have limited AT capability.
This model is taken from the last known Type 4 Ho-Ro in existence, which is at the American Heritage Museum in Hudson, Massachusetts, who were amazing to work with and allowed us to come in while the museum was closed. I can’t thank them enough for their help.
